Design on Q is an award winning boutique graphic design & illustration business founded and directed by Katherine (Kat) Quin Merewether. Kat started out in 2002 as a self-employed graphic designer and illustrator. The first of her large projects, beginning in 2002, included illustrating material for the Te Wananga o Aotearoa, Te Ara Reo, Mahi Ora and Mauri Ora programmes. Today she employs a team of talented illustrators and designers specialising in digital illustration, marketing, branding project management and development.

Children's book illustration is the icing on the cake for Kat. This year her 10th published, fully illustrated book is due to be launched. Titles include One Day a Taniwha, Pito Mata and Waiata Mai. The Boy Who Could See Only Purple was published this year in Phoenix Arizona, and was endorsed by the Milton H. Ericson Foundation.

Design on Q delivers a wide range of illustration work for many private organisations and publications, designing and typesetting books and journals, creating logos and designing full corporate and franchise branding for businesses locally and nationally.
